AGARTALA: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu registered his census information online, taking part in the self-enumeration process for the upcoming Census 2027.
The Governor completed the digital registration himself, in a move aimed at encouraging citizens across the state to participate in the census through the self-enumeration route rather than relying solely on traditional door-to-door enumeration.
Officials said the initiative is part of a broader effort to make the census exercise simpler, more transparent, and technology-driven. By opting for self-enumeration, residents can register their own household and personal details online, reducing dependence on enumerators and streamlining the data collection process.
The Governor’s participation is seen as an effort to set an example for the general public and generate greater awareness about the digital option available under Census 2027.
The administration is expected to continue outreach efforts to promote self-enumeration among citizens in the coming weeks, as preparations for the census exercise gather pace across the state.
