AGARTALA: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu took part in the Census 2027 process through self-enumeration at Lok Bhavan here on Friday morning, registering his own details online as part of a programme aimed at encouraging citizens to adopt the digital self-enumeration route.
The initiative seeks to raise awareness among the general public and motivate them to participate in self-enumeration using digital methods ahead of the nationwide census exercise.
According to the administration, the self-enumeration system has been introduced to make Census 2027 simpler, more transparent, and technology-driven, reducing dependence on traditional door-to-door enumeration methods.
By personally completing the process, the Governor sought to lead by example and lend visibility to the government’s push for wider digital participation in the census.
Officials said further outreach programmes are expected to follow, aimed at ensuring maximum public participation in the self-enumeration process across the state ahead of the Census 2027 exercise.
