Governor of Tripura Indrasena Reddy Nallu visited Dharmanagar to attend the Ulto Rath Yatra celebrations, where he was present as the chief guest and distributed prizes as part of the festivities.
Ahead of the Governor’s visit, a crucial preparatory meeting was held at the conference hall of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council to ensure the smooth and successful organisation of the event. Municipal officials and administrative staff worked to finalise arrangements, including security, seating, and logistics, to accommodate the Governor’s programme alongside the large turnout expected for the annual chariot festival.
The Governor’s presence added significance to the Ulto Rath celebrations in North Tripura’s district headquarters, with local authorities keen to ensure the event went off without any lapses.
The Ulto Rath Yatra, observed as the return chariot festival, holds deep religious importance for devotees across the region, and the Governor’s participation was seen as lending further prominence to the Dharmanagar festivities this year.
Officials expressed satisfaction over the arrangements following the Governor’s visit, with the event concluding as part of the broader Rath Yatra celebrations held across Tripura.
