Agartala: The DYFI Dukli Divisional Committee observed the 27th martyrdom day of martyr Tapan Chakraborty at Dropgate on 31.08.2026, drawing senior party leaders and cadres to pay tribute to the slain youth leader.
DYFI state secretary Nabarun Dev led the observance, joined by state secretariat members Goutam Ghosh and Shantanu Dev. The organisation’s former state president Pankaj Ghosh and former youth leaders Swapan Poddar and Ajoy Dey were also present, alongside SFI Dukli Divisional Committee secretary Paritosh Debnath.
The programme began with floral tributes offered to a portrait of Tapan Chakraborty, followed by a discussion meeting presided over by Goutam Ghosh. Nabarun Dev, Pankaj Ghosh and Shubhankar Majumder addressed the gathering, recalling the martyr’s contribution to the movement and reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to carrying forward his legacy.
The annual observance has become a fixture on DYFI’s calendar in the Dukli area, with leaders using the occasion to rally cadres and reflect on the organisation’s history in the region.
