AGARTALA: A district-level interaction and awareness programme was organised on Tuesday at Muktadhara Auditorium here for beneficiaries of the Sponsorship and Foster Care scheme under West Tripura District.
The programme was aimed at facilitating direct interaction between beneficiaries and district officials, while raising awareness about the scheme’s provisions and benefits for children under sponsorship and foster care.
West Tripura District Sabhadhipati Biswajit Sheel attended the event along with other officials and dignitaries associated with the child welfare initiative.
Speakers at the programme highlighted the importance of such schemes in ensuring the well-being, protection, and holistic development of vulnerable children across the district, while urging greater community participation in supporting foster care and sponsorship efforts.
Beneficiaries were also given the opportunity to share their experiences and raise queries during the interactive session, which sought to strengthen the implementation of child welfare programmes at the grassroots level.
