Jampuijala,Tripura : A CRPF veteran’s widow in Chandithakur Para, Chikanchhara village under Jampuijala, has appealed to Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for assistance, alleging she has been denied pension and government housing benefits five years after her husband’s death.
Nandita Debbarma’s husband, Ajit Deb Barman, reportedly served 15 years with CRPF’s 127th Battalion. According to her account, the couple left Srinagar in 2003 following the death of their first child and settled in her ancestral home in Jampuijala. Deb Barman died five years ago.
Debbarma alleges she has since received neither a pension nor a government housing allowance, and that her home lacks a toilet. She said she is raising two children under difficult financial circumstances and has sought the Chief Minister’s intervention.
