CRITICALLY ILL KIDNEY PATIENT’S WIFE PLEADS TO STATE GOVERNMENT FOR HELP

Kamalasagar, Tripura:In a heart-wrenching appeal that has moved the local community, Bulti Debnath, the desperate wife of a critically ill kidney patient from Madhupur Adarsha Colony under Kamalaсagar Assembly constituency, has approached the media, urging the state government to step in and save her husband’s life.

Binod Debnath, a daily wage worker who earned a modest living working in a rubber plantation, was diagnosed with severe bilateral kidney disease approximately five to six months ago. Since then, the family has spent every last rupee of their savings on his treatment, consulting both government and private doctors and even travelling to other cities seeking a cure. Despite all efforts, his condition has only worsened, with frequent episodes of breathlessness now forcing repeated hospitalisations.

With no funds remaining and no viable treatment in sight, the impoverished family finds itself in a state of complete financial and emotional collapse. Local residents and police personnel from Madhupur Police Station have extended a helping hand by collecting donations, but such support can only go so far.

In her desperation, Bulti had earlier sought assistance from the local MLA, Antara Sarkar Deb, but received little concrete help — only a vague assurance of arranging an allowance.

Left with no other option, Bulti Debnath broke down before the media on Sunday afternoon, making an emotional appeal to the state government to provide financial assistance for her husband’s advanced medical treatment before it is too late.

The community now watches and waits, hoping the government will respond swiftly to this family’s desperate cry for help.
