AGARTALA: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha is scheduled to attend a series of community programmes organised at Sanghati Club, Sankar Chowmuhani, in the city, marking the Independence Day celebrations along with a blood donation camp and a body donation initiative.
The event, held under the aegis of Sanghati Club, brings together patriotic observance with two significant social causes — voluntary blood donation and body donation for medical research and education. The Chief Minister’s presence is expected to lend visibility to the club’s efforts in promoting civic and health-related awareness among residents of the locality.
Sanghati Club has, over the years, been associated with organising community outreach programmes in the Sankar Chowmuhani area, and this year’s event combines the national commemoration with initiatives aimed at encouraging citizens to contribute to healthcare and medical science through donation.
