Agartala: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, Corporator Ratna Dutta, and other officials, conducted an on-site inspection today to review the progress of renovation works at the pond in Prabhu Bari and the pond located at Madhyapara Chalaman Sangha.
During the visit, the Chief Minister took stock of the ongoing development activities, examining the pace and quality of work being carried out at both water bodies. He interacted with officials associated with the project to understand the current status and discussed measures to ensure timely completion.
The inspection comes amid the state government’s continued focus on beautification and rejuvenation of urban water bodies, aimed at improving civic infrastructure and enhancing the aesthetic and environmental value of the city’s ponds.
Mayor Deepak Majumder and Corporator Ratna Dutta briefed the Chief Minister on the specifics of the ongoing renovation, including the scope of work and the timeline for completion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure across Agartala and assured that all necessary steps would be taken to expedite the pending works at both sites.
Local residents welcomed the visit, expressing hope that the renovation would soon be completed and benefit the surrounding community.
