AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed Ward Office No. 40 under the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), marking another step in the civic body’s infrastructure expansion drive.
Mayor Dipak Majumder, the Deputy Mayor, and the Ward No. 20 Corporator were among the dignitaries present at the inauguration ceremony, along with other officials and local representatives.
The new ward office is expected to streamline municipal services for residents in the area, including grievance redressal, certificate issuance, and other civic amenities that fall under the corporation’s purview.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister is understood to have highlighted the state government’s continued focus on strengthening urban local bodies and improving accessibility of civic services for citizens.
