AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha yesterday visited the site of a devastating explosion that occurred at a flat in Ramnagar, and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
During his visit, the Chief Minister reportedly indicated that Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited (TNGCL) could be the primary party responsible for the explosion, though no official confirmation of the cause has yet been issued by investigating authorities.
The blast, which occurred on Wednesday, is said to have caused significant damage to the flat, though details regarding casualties or injuries have not been independently verified at this stage.
Dr. Saha is understood to have instructed officials to ensure a comprehensive probe into the matter, with an emphasis on identifying the exact cause of the explosion and any lapses that may have contributed to it.
Authorities are expected to examine gas supply lines and related infrastructure in the area as part of the investigation. TNGCL has not yet issued any official response to the allegation.
