AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday attended a special screening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio program, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, at the Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala. The event, which drew a large gathering of local citizens and beneficiaries, was also attended by Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, alongside several senior state officials.
Following the broadcast, Chief Minister Dr. Saha presided over a formal ceremony to distribute financial assistances and benefits under the Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme. The central initiative provides micro-credit loans to street vendors to help them restart or expand their livelihood businesses.
Interacting with the gathering, Dr. Saha highlighted how PM Modi’s vision has consistently empowered the grassroots and marginalized sections of society. “The PM SVANidhi scheme has transformed the lives of street vendors by offering them financial independence and security without structural hurdles,” the Chief Minister stated. He urged the beneficiaries to leverage the digital banking benefits tied to the scheme to further boost their business growth, reaffirming his government’s commitment to ensuring all central welfare schemes reach the last mile across Tripura.
