Agartala: A minor altercation turned violent at Orient Chowmuhani in the capital on Tuesday, leaving one person severely injured after he was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon, triggering panic among residents in the area.
According to local reports, the clash reportedly broke out following a trivial dispute, which soon escalated, resulting in the assault. The exact cause of the altercation has not yet been officially confirmed.
On receiving information, personnel from West Police Station, along with fire department officials, rushed to the spot and rescued the injured. They were immediately taken to hospital for treatment. Among those injured, one person’s condition is reported to be critical, hospital sources said.
