BJP Spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty Addresses Press Conference on Manisha Das Death, June 24 Bandh

Agartala:BJP chief spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty on Wednesday addressed a detailed press conference at the party’s state office, touching upon several pressing issues, including the death of Manisha Das and the proposed bandh called for June 24, among other matters.

Speaking to reporters, Chakraborty offered the party’s perspective on the circumstances surrounding Manisha Das’s death, which has drawn public attention in recent days. He urged restraint and called for the matter to be allowed to take its due course through proper investigation, rather than being given any political colour by vested interests.

On the question of the bandh scheduled for June 24, the BJP spokesperson criticised the organisers behind the call, stating that such shutdown programmes only inconvenience common citizens, students, traders, and daily wage earners, while achieving little in terms of genuine grievance redressal. He appealed to the organisers to reconsider the bandh and instead pursue dialogue with the government to address their concerns.

Chakraborty also used the opportunity to highlight the achievements of the state government on various developmental fronts, reiterating the party’s commitment to good governance and public welfare.

The press conference concluded with the spokesperson reaffirming the party’s readiness to engage constructively on all matters of public concern.
