AIDWA Holds March in Dukli Against Rising Violence on Women

Dukli: The Dukli Sub-Divisional Committee of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) organised a march and public meeting on Thursday, protesting the rising incidents of violence against women across Tripura.

The programme was attended by the organisation’s all-India leader and former Member of Parliament Jharna Das Baidya, State Secretary Swapna Dutta, and Dukli Sub-Divisional Committee Secretary Ruma Dutta, among other senior functionaries of the organisation.

Addressing the gathering, the leaders expressed deep concern over the growing number of crimes against women being reported from various parts of the state and called for stringent action against perpetrators. They urged the state government to strengthen mechanisms for women’s safety and ensure swift justice in cases of atrocities against women.

The march saw participation from a large number of members and supporters of the organisation, who raised slogans demanding an end to violence against women and greater accountability from law enforcement agencies.

AIDWA leaders reiterated their commitment to continuing the movement at the grassroots level until concrete measures are taken to ensure women’s safety and dignity across Tripura.
