Agartala: Members of the All Forces Ex-Army Welfare Society and the Gorkha Kalyan Samiti came together on Tuesday to hold a candlelight march in the city, paying solemn tribute to the victims of the recent natural disaster in Nepal.
Participants, many carrying lit candles, walked through the city in a display of solidarity and grief for those who lost their lives in the calamity. The march reflected the deep bonds of friendship and shared history between the people of Tripura and Nepal, particularly through the Gorkha community’s longstanding presence in the region.
Members of the two organisations expressed their condolences to the bereaved families in Nepal and voiced hope for the swift recovery and rehabilitation of the affected areas.
