BJP Observes Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee’s 125th Birth Anniversary

AGARTALA: The 125th birth anniversary of Bharat Kesari Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, was observed with due dignity at the BJP state office here on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha attended the event as the chief guest, along with BJP Tripura state president Abhishek Dev Roy and other senior party functionaries.

Speaking on the occasion, party leaders paid tribute to Dr. Mookerjee’s contributions to nation-building and his ideological legacy, which continues to inspire the BJP’s political philosophy. Leaders also recalled his role in Indian politics during the post-independence era and his advocacy for national integration.

Party workers and functionaries from various wings of the BJP were present at the programme, which included floral tributes to Dr. Mookerjee’s portrait followed by speeches highlighting his life and work.

The event forms part of a series of programmes being organised across the state by the BJP to mark the occasion.
