Abandoned and Busted: Drug Tablets Seized in Kulubari Border Patrol

KULUBARI: A large consignment of suspected narcotic tablets was recovered in an abandoned condition from the Kulubari border road area during a routine patrolling operation, according to sources.

The substantial haul of intoxicant tablets was reportedly found unattended along the border road, prompting security personnel on patrol duty to seize the consignment on the spot.

The exact quantity and nature of the seized tablets could not be immediately ascertained. Sources indicated that the contraband may have been abandoned by smugglers, possibly upon sensing the presence of patrolling personnel in the area.

Kulubari, located along the international border, has reportedly witnessed similar incidents in the past, with the porous border stretch often being used as a route for smuggling narcotics and contraband items into the state.

Further investigation into the matter is said to be underway to trace the source and intended destination of the consignment, as well as to identify those allegedly involved in the smuggling attempt.

No arrests have been reported so far in connection with the seizure.
