AGARTALA: A blood donation camp was organised at IT Bhawan here today by ILOGITRON Technology Private Limited, drawing participation from Minister Pranajit Singha Roy along with several other dignitaries and employees.
The initiative saw a steady turnout of donors throughout the day, with participants stepping forward to contribute blood units in a bid to support the state’s healthcare system, particularly amid recurring shortages faced by blood banks. Medical teams were present on-site to oversee the donation process and ensure donor safety and comfort.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Pranajit Singha Roy lauded the initiative, noting that voluntary blood donation drives play a crucial role in saving lives, especially during emergencies and medical crises. He urged more private organisations and corporate entities to come forward and organise similar camps regularly, emphasising that consistent donor participation can help maintain a stable blood supply across hospitals in the state.
Officials from ILOGITRON Technology expressed satisfaction over the response to the camp and reiterated the company’s commitment to social responsibility initiatives. The blood collected through the camp is expected to be channelled to government blood banks to help meet ongoing demand.
