DUCKLI: A Gram Sabha held at Bagmara Gram Panchayat under Duckli R.D. Block on Tuesday saw the allocation of 349 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), or PMAY-G, with the allotment process completed among eligible beneficiaries.
Deputy Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and area MLA Ramprasad Paul attended the event as chief guest, along with panchayat representatives, officials of the concerned department, and local dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Paul said the joint initiative of the central and state governments through PMAY-G was helping realise the dream of pucca houses for homeless and economically weaker families. He urged beneficiaries to complete construction of their homes within the stipulated time and commended the administration’s efforts in ensuring government scheme benefits reach the grassroots.
The announcement of the house allocations was met with visible joy among beneficiaries present at the Gram Sabha. Residents welcomed the initiative and called for the continuation of similar development programmes in the future.
