KATHMANDU: Nepal is reeling from a devastating natural disaster after flash floods swept through areas along the country’s border with the Tibet region, leaving behind widespread destruction and a mounting death toll.

The flash floods have killed at least 95 people and left a trail of destruction across the affected region.Homes have been reduced to rubble, with entire communities grappling with the loss of loved ones and livelihoods. Rescue and relief operations remain underway as authorities work to reach survivors and account for those still missing.

The scale of the tragedy has drawn an outpouring of grief and solidarity, both within Nepal and from across the border in India, where citizens and officials have expressed condolences to the bereaved families.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Nepal of all possible humanitarian assistance, with India dispatching relief supplies including shelters, blankets, and medicines to aid the recovery effort.
