Agartala: The highly anticipated Longtharai C-Division Football League matches are all set to kick off tomorrow at the historic Umakanta Academy Ground in Agartala. The tournament promises to inject fresh excitement into the state’s local football scene.
Addressing a press conference, Amit Bhowmik, the President of the Tripura Football Association (TFA), announced that a total of 14 local teams will be competing for the top honors this season. The tournament serves as a vital platform for scouting and nurturing grassroots football talent across the state.
The formal inaugural ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00 PM. The event will be officially opened by Nabadal Banik, the Chairman of the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC), who will be joined by senior executive members and officials of the Tripura Football Association.
TFA officials highlighted that extensive logistical arrangements have been completed at the Umakanta Ground to ensure seamless match execution. Local sports enthusiasts and football fans are expected to gather in large numbers tomorrow to support the young athletes as the opening match gets underway.
