BISHALGARH: Setting its sights firmly on the upcoming 2028 Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kicked off its grassroots campaign by organizing an organizational courtyard meeting (Uthan Sabha) on Sunday afternoon. The strategic meeting was held at Booth No. 16/23 in the Nabinagar Paschim Para area under Sepahijala district.
The interactive session was headlined by local BJP MLA Sushanta Deb, alongside Bishalgarh BJP Mandal President Tapan Das, and a large gathering of grassroots party functionaries, workers, and local supporters.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Sushanta Deb launched a scathing attack on the previous Left Front regime, asserting that during the CPI(M) rule, development existed only in empty rhetoric and “word of mouth.” In contrast, Deb highlighted that the establishment of the double-engine BJP government in Tripura has transformed infrastructure. He pointed out that long-standing community grievances, particularly chronic drinking water scarcities, dilapidated road networks, and basic civic issues, have been swiftly and successfully resolved under the current administration.
Party leaders urged workers to step up door-to-door outreach to consolidate the party’s grassroots base well ahead of the crucial 2028 electoral battle.
