Complaints at Your Fingertips: CM Launches AI-Backed WhatsApp Grievance System for Agartala

AGARTALA: Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday launched a WhatsApp-based civic grievance redressal system with AI-assisted response mechanisms, with the stated aim of making Agartala a “zero-complaint” city.

The system was unveiled at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala on October 8. Alongside it, the Chief Minister also launched an AI-based IVR (interactive voice response) calling system for citizens.

Through these platforms, residents of Agartala can register complaints, track the status of their resolution and give feedback directly from their smartphones. Officials said the initiative is designed to cut administrative delays and make public service delivery faster.

The Chief Minister also flagged off Rapid Response Team (RRT) vehicles and truck-mounted water tankers to ensure quick action on civic problems. He said integrating technology into governance is crucial for transparency and accountability.

On the same occasion, Saha laid the foundation stones for key water treatment projects aimed at improving the city’s drinking water supply.

The launch comes as the state government continues to focus on infrastructure and beautification of the Agartala Municipal Corporation area under the Smart City Mission.
