UDAIPUR: In a swift intervention, a 15-year-old boy was rescued from the Udaipur railway station premises on Thursday by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and Childline officials.
Preliminary findings suggest that the teenager had left his home approximately two days ago without informing any family members. He was spotted wandering aimlessly around the station platform by alert authorities. After being moved to a safe shelter, officials attempted to interview the minor; however, he showed extreme reluctance to reveal his identity, home address, or any details concerning his parents.
Despite his silence, officials noted certain cues and linguistic patterns during initial conversations, leading them to suspect that his family resides in the Teliamura area of Tripura. No concrete information has been verified so far.
Childline personnel are currently conducting professional counseling sessions with the boy to gently extract accurate information about his background. Simultaneously, the CWC has initiated coordination with relevant law enforcement and administrative authorities across districts to trace his guardians. The primary goal remains establishing quick contact with his relatives to facilitate a safe and immediate family reunion.
