KUMARGHAT: The Kumarghat DWS (Drinking Water Supply) Circle Office witnessed tense scenes after contractors alleged non-payment of their dues, prompting the intervention of Chief Engineer Rajib Majumder to bring the situation under control.
The contractors claimed that approximately ₹60 crore remains outstanding in pending bills. Amid mounting frustration over the delay, the office atmosphere turned heated, drawing the Chief Engineer to the spot to address the grievances and defuse tensions.
