Women Learn, AI Yearns: Agartala Hosts Yashodha AI Training

AGARTALA: The Tripura State Commission for Women, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, organized an awareness and training programme on artificial intelligence (AI) for women and students at a private hotel here.

Titled “Awareness cum Training Programme on Yashodha AI,” the event was attended by Tripura State Commission for Women Chairperson Joma Debbarma, along with other officials and representatives of the Commission.

Participants included students from Babyna School and Tripura University, as well as women from various blocks associated with the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM). The session focused on familiarizing attendees with AI applications in education, employment, administrative work, and everyday life, while also addressing safety and responsible-use considerations.

Organizers said that equipping women with AI skills would widen their opportunities in education and employment, while strengthening self-reliance and digital capability. They added that such initiatives are especially relevant given the rapid pace of technological change.

The programme drew considerable interest from the students and women in attendance, officials said.
