Leftist Student-Youth Front Storms Agartala Streets Over NEET Scam and Education Crisis

Agartala: Intensifying their agitation against the crumbling academic framework, Leftist student and youth organizations hit the streets of Agartala on Saturday, launching a massive rally against both the central and state governments.

The demonstration targeted the nationwide NEET exam scam, with protestors fiercely demanding the immediate resignation of the Union Education Minister. On the domestic front, the youth front raised slogans against the acute shortage of permanent teachers in Tripura’s state-run schools, the rapid commercialization and privatization of institutional learning, and the rising tide of campus violence and administrative anarchy in local colleges.

The rally commenced from the bustling Melarmath area, with hundreds of activists brandishing placards and shouting anti-establishment slogans. After parading through major arteries of Agartala city, the procession culminated in a high-voltage demonstration outside the gates of Shiksha Bhavan (the Education Department headquarters).

Addressing the gathering, youth leaders warned that the double-engine government’s apathy toward the student community is pushing the future of millions into jeopardy. They vowed to intensify state-wide disruptions if the government fails to ensure campus safety and immediate judicial accountability for national testing failures.
