AGARTALA: Tipra Motha workers and leaders held a victory march with firecrackers at Lefunga on Wednesday after all 80 nominations filed from 10 Village Committees (VCs) under Lefunga Block were accepted following scrutiny, ensuring an unopposed win for the party’s candidates.
TTAADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Runiel Debbarma led the celebratory march alongside Tipra Motha’s Lefunga Block Committee President Deepak Debbarma, the newly elected unopposed VC members, and local party workers and supporters.
Speaking to the media after the scrutiny process concluded, Debbarma expressed satisfaction over the outcome, calling it a reflection of the party’s growing organisational strength in the block.
The scrutiny of nomination papers for the ongoing VC elections was completed on Wednesday, with all candidates from Lefunga’s 10 VCs declared winners unopposed after no rival nominations were filed or all opposing papers were rejected during scrutiny.
The development adds to Tipra Motha’s tally of uncontested seats ahead of the broader VC election schedule, with the party continuing to consolidate its presence across ADC-administered blocks.
