ASSAULT ON WHEELS: TOMTOM DRIVER BEATEN, GLASS HOUSE OWNER BOOKED

DHARMANAGAR: An allegation of assault against a tomtom (auto-rickshaw) driver has been filed against the owner of Shibam Glass House, following an incident in broad daylight near the Kali Temple in Officetila, Dharmanagar.

According to local sources, a dispute broke out between the tomtom driver and the shop owner, which allegedly escalated when the driver was thrown to the ground and beaten in full public view. The incident has caused considerable stir in the area.

Following the assault, the victim lodged a complaint at Dharmanagar Police Station, and a case has reportedly been registered based on his statement.

Sources say an employee of Shibam Glass House was present at the scene during the incident. The complainant has claimed the employee acknowledged the assault, though this has not been independently verified and remains subject to police investigation.
