Special Programme Marks World Physiotherapy Day 2026 in Agartala

AGARTALA: A special programme was organised at the Agartala Press Club to mark World Physiotherapy Day 2026, aimed at highlighting the importance of physiotherapy and raising public awareness about physical wellness.

MP Rajib Bhattacharjee and GBP Hospital Deputy MS Kanak Chowdhury were among the dignitaries present, along with several eminent figures from the physiotherapy sector. Speakers underlined physiotherapy’s crucial role in treating physical ailments, managing injury-related complications, and restoring mobility for patients.

The observance sought to build public awareness around regular exercise, healthy lifestyle practices, and the importance of seeking timely advice from specialist physiotherapists. Speakers also called for making physiotherapy services more widely accessible and commended the doctors and professionals working in the field.
