AGARTALA: The prize distribution ceremony of the State-Level Drama Competition 2026 was held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Town Hall here, organised by the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Government of Tripura.
Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha attended the ceremony as chief guest, along with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Deepak Majumder, MLA Meena Rani Sarkar, Information and Cultural Affairs Department Secretary Kiran Gitte, and other departmental officials and distinguished guests.
During the event, prizes were distributed to students who had achieved success in the state-level competition, recognising their talent and performance in the field of drama.
The competition, organised as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote cultural and theatrical talent among students across the state, saw participation from young performers showcasing their skills on stage.
The ceremony highlighted the state government’s continued support for nurturing artistic talent, with officials reiterating their commitment to providing platforms for students to develop their creative abilities in drama and performing arts.
