Belonia: A South District-level DISHA meeting was held at Belonia Circuit House on Friday, chaired by East Tripura MP Kriti Singh Debbarma, to review the implementation of central and state government schemes across the district.
The meeting brought together officials from key departments including Education, Health, PWD, Water Resources, Animal Resources Development, Police, and Fisheries, along with district and sub-divisional administration and public representatives. Among those present were Minister Sukla Charan Noatia, South Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairman Deepak Dutta, district MLAs, Panchayat Samiti chairmen, MDCs, Belonia Municipal Council Chairperson Nikhil Chandra Gope, and the district CMO.
MP Kriti Devi Debbarma said the meeting would focus particularly on health, education, and drinking water, alongside a review of schemes related to irrigation, electricity, roads, and other sectors. She said discussions would also assess the actual on-ground implementation of these projects for public benefit.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the meeting, the MP said all district administrative officials would be directed to undertake field visits and complete pending departmental work within a fixed timeframe, underlining the need for greater accountability in project execution.
