Colourful Tiranga Yatra Held in Kailashahar, Aims to Instil Patriotism in Youth: Minister Tinku Roy

KAILASHAHAR: As part of the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, a colourful Tiranga Yatra was organised here on Friday under the initiative of the Unakoti District Administration.

Tripura Government Minister Tinku Roy said the campaign’s central objective, apart from honouring the national flag, is to awaken patriotism, nationalism and a sense of duty towards the country among the younger generation.

The procession saw the participation of Unakoti District Magistrate and Collector Megha Jain, Kailashahar Municipal Council Chairperson Chapala Rani Debroy, employees of various government departments, school teachers, students, and people from all walks of life, alongside Minister Roy.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Roy said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative is being observed across the state, with flag hoisting at every household, school, college and government institution, accompanied by marches and processions in honour of the Tiranga. The Kailashahar event was organised as part of this larger drive.

He added that the campaign also seeks to spread the resolve of building a “Viksit Bharat” among the youth while awakening national pride. The Yatra further served as a tribute to former servicemen and martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, the minister said.
