Agartala: A one-day workshop organised under the Tripura Bio-Technology initiative was held today at Pragya Bhawan, marking the addition of 50 new DNA Clubs across the state.
With this expansion, the total number of DNA Clubs in Tripura has risen from 222 to 272, officials informed at the event.
The workshop was attended by Minister Animesh Debbarma, along with Tripura Bio-Technology Chairman Chaitanya Murthy and other officials associated with the initiative.
DNA Clubs, promoted under the state’s bio-technology programme, are aimed at fostering scientific temperament and awareness of biotechnology among students, encouraging hands-on exposure to the field at the school and college level.
Speaking at the event, officials highlighted the state government’s continued push to expand the network of such clubs as part of efforts to strengthen science education and research culture in Tripura.
The one-day workshop at Pragya Bhawan served as a platform to felicitate the newly added clubs and discuss the initiative’s future direction, with further expansion expected in the coming months.
