Agartala: In a unique and inspiring initiative, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha strongly encouraged persons with disabilities (divyangjan) to actively participate in and inspire the voluntary blood donation movement across the state. Speaking at a special event aimed at promoting social inclusivity, the Chief Minister highlighted that the spirit of saving human lives transcends physical boundaries.
Dr. Saha, who is a doctor himself, praised the immense courage and determination of the differently-abled community. He noted that their participation in such noble causes serves as a powerful message to society, breaking stereotypes and motivating healthier individuals to step forward for regular blood donations.
“Blood donation is the greatest gift one can give to humanity,” the Chief Minister stated, adding that the state government is constantly working to ensure better healthcare accessibility and inclusive platforms where everyone can contribute to the community’s welfare.
The event witnessed a heartfelt response, with several participants expressing their eagerness to support the cause. Medical professionals, social activists, and representatives from various organizations lauded the Chief Minister’s words, noting that involving all sections of society will significantly help meet the growing demand for blood in state hospitals.
