AGARTALA: The Tripura Small Goods Vehicle Drivers’ Association organized a march to the state Secretariat (Mahakaran) on Wednesday, raising a nine-point charter of demands, association sources said.
A large procession of drivers and association members set out from in front of Agartala Town Hall and proceeded towards the Secretariat with the objective of submitting a deputation to Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
According to the association, the nine-point charter covers issues concerning small goods vehicle drivers across the state, though specific details of the demands were not immediately available.
A delegation from the association reportedly met with the Transport Minister to hand over the memorandum, urging swift action on their grievances.
