Agartala: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu attended the state-level launch of the “10 Crore Addiction Free India Pledge Campaign” and “Universal Brotherhood Blood Donation Drive” held at Gyanoday Bhawan, Brahma Kumaris Aralia Centre, Agartala, on Monday evening.
The dual initiative was organised with the objective of creating mass awareness against substance abuse and promoting voluntary blood donation as a means of fostering social responsibility and human welfare across the state.
The “10 Crore Addiction Free India Pledge Campaign” aims to mobilise citizens nationwide to pledge their commitment towards leading a drug-free and addiction-free life, while the “Universal Brotherhood Blood Donation Drive” seeks to encourage voluntary blood donation as an expression of compassion and unity among communities.
The event brought together officials, volunteers of the Brahma Kumaris organisation, and members of the public who participated in the launch ceremony held at the Aralia Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor is expected to have underlined the importance of collective efforts in building a healthier, addiction-free society and encouraged citizens to actively participate in both the pledge campaign and the blood donation initiative.
The programme reflects the state’s continued emphasis on public health awareness and community welfare initiatives.
