JAMPUIJALA:Residents and vehicle drivers in the Gulirai Bari village area of Jampuijala Block are up in arms over a stretch of road that has remained in disrepair for the past two years, with no signs of repair work despite repeated complaints.
Locals said the road has deteriorated to the point where daily commuting has become a hazard, with vehicle drivers particularly affected by the poor condition of the surface. Residents alleged that despite the prolonged neglect, no steps have been taken by the authorities to address the issue.
Both residents and drivers have jointly demanded that the administration take immediate steps to repair the road, warning that the situation is only worsening with time and posing risks to commuters, especially during adverse weather.
The affected villagers have urged the concerned department to look into the matter on priority and undertake repair work at the earliest, so as to spare them further hardship.
No response has yet been received from the administration regarding the residents’ demand.
