AGARTALA:Unemployed youths who have qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET-I and TET-II) once again laid siege to Shiksha Bhavan on [date], renewing their demand for recruitment against posts they say remain unfilled despite their eligibility.
The agitating candidates gathered outside the education office and submitted a deputation to the authorities, reiterating their long-standing demand for appointment letters. This is not the first such protest, with TET-qualified job seekers repeatedly staging demonstrations at Shiksha Bhavan over what they describe as prolonged delays in the recruitment process.
Protesters said that despite clearing both stages of the examination, many have been left without jobs for years, and accused the education department of failing to act on the pending recruitment process.
Officials at Shiksha Bhavan received the deputation, though no immediate response or assurance was given publicly. The protesters have warned that if their demands continue to go unaddressed, they will intensify their agitation in the coming days.
