SFI Blocks Road at Babur Bazar, Demands Justice in Zubaida Khatun Death Case

KAILASHAHAR: The Students Federation of India (SFI) staged a massive protest march and road blockade at Babur Bazar on Sunday, reviving public attention on the much-discussed mysterious death of schoolgirl Zubaida Khatun in Kailashahar.

Organised by the SFI Kailashahar Subdivisional Committee, the demonstration began around 10:30 am with members and student leaders marching through the Babur Bazar area carrying placards and banners. Students from several local schools joined the protest spontaneously. The demonstrators later blocked the main road, disrupting traffic for a period and creating a tense atmosphere in the locality.

Protesters demanded that the actual circumstances surrounding Zubaida’s death be brought to light without delay, and that those genuinely responsible be identified and given exemplary punishment. They alleged that several questions surrounding the case remain unanswered and called for a fair, time-bound investigation.

Among those present were SFI Kailashahar Subdivisional President Shahabuddin, state committee member Abdul Samim, and student leaders Pritam Dutta, Sagardwip Malakar and Rupangan Bajpai.

The organisation warned that if a fair probe and strict action against the culprits are not ensured, SFI would intensify its agitation into a larger mass movement in the coming days.
