AGARTALA: A young man identified as Shubham Debnath died by suicide at his residence in Jogendranagar Dattapara, in an incident that came as a shock to his family, who were reportedly unaware of any distress he may have been experiencing.
According to local sources, Debnath was found dead inside the house, and the incident came to light only after family members discovered him. Neighbours and relatives said there had been no prior indication of any problem, and the family has expressed shock and disbelief over the sudden loss.
On receiving information, local police reached the spot and initiated proceedings as per standard procedure, including recovery of the body for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact circumstances of the death.
Police said investigations are underway to determine whether any specific reason led to the incident, though no note or clear cause had been established at the time of filing this report.
