Mandai, Tripura: Residents of Shantaram Para, under Harbang Village Committee in Mandai block, have raised strong objections after the local SB School reportedly remained closed well past its scheduled opening time.
According to locals, the school is supposed to open its gates at 8 a.m. every day. However, even as the clock struck 11 a.m., the premises remained locked, leaving students and parents stranded outside.
Residents alleged that this is not an isolated incident, with several villagers voicing frustration over what they describe as a recurring lapse in the school’s functioning. Parents reportedly gathered outside the gates, questioning the delay and demanding accountability from school authorities.
There has been no official statement yet from the school administration or the Mandai block education office regarding the reported closure. Daily Archives has reached out for clarification and is awaiting a response.
Local residents have urged the education department to intervene urgently, citing growing concern over the disruption to children’s studies caused by such delays.
