CM Manik Saha Joins Census 2027 Self-Enumeration, Calls It “Highly Significant”

AGARTALA: Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha took part in the Census 2027 process through online self-enumeration at his official residence, registering his own details as part of efforts to encourage wider public participation in the digital exercise.

Speaking on the occasion, Saha said the census is not merely a statistical exercise but one of the key foundations for planning and implementing developmental initiatives across the state.

He said the self-enumeration system has been introduced to make Census 2027 simpler, more transparent, and technology-driven, reducing reliance on traditional enumeration methods. The Chief Minister described this year’s census as highly significant, underlining its role in shaping future welfare and development planning.

By personally completing the registration, Saha sought to set an example and motivate residents across Tripura to actively participate in the self-enumeration process ahead of the census exercise.

Officials said further awareness campaigns are expected in the coming days to encourage greater public participation in Census 2027.
