Two-Day Workshop on Motor Vehicles Act Held for Tripura Police Officials

AGARTALA: A two-day awareness workshop on the “Motor Vehicles Act and Related Rules” for officials of the Tripura Police began on Tuesday at Pragya Bhawan here, inaugurated by state Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.

The workshop has been organised to familiarise police personnel with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and associated rules, aimed at strengthening enforcement and ensuring better compliance on the state’s roads.

Inaugurating the programme, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury underlined the importance of proper implementation of traffic laws for road safety and orderly traffic management across the state.

Senior officials from the Transport Department and Tripura Police, along with resource persons, are taking part in the two-day session, which includes detailed discussions on legal provisions, enforcement procedures, and related regulatory updates.

The workshop is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of police personnel in handling motor vehicle-related cases and improving road safety compliance across Tripura.
