AGARTALA: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha reportedly made a surprise visit to Govind Ballabh Pant (GBP) Hospital here, continuing his practice of unannounced inspections of state healthcare facilities.
According to sources, the Chief Minister, who also holds the health portfolio, arrived at the hospital without prior notice to review ongoing services and facilities. Details of the specific departments inspected and any directives issued during the visit could not be immediately confirmed.
Dr. Saha has in the past conducted similar surprise inspections at government hospitals across Agartala, including GBP Hospital, IGM Hospital, and the Gandhigram Primary Health Centre, often flagging shortcomings on the spot and instructing officials to take corrective action.
