DYFI Extends Financial Support to Hapania Girl Ahead of Delhi Treatment

AGARTALA: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) on Saturday handed over financial assistance to the family of Manushree, a young child from the Hapania area, ahead of her departure for advanced medical treatment in Delhi.

Manushree, who requires a substantial sum for her treatment, is scheduled to leave for Delhi on Sunday. Responding to an appeal from her family during this difficult period, DYFI workers and supporters mobilised support both online and through cash collections, contributing according to their individual capacity.

The collected funds were handed over to Manushree’s family on Saturday by DYFI State Committee Secretariat member Gautam Ghosh, Dukli Divisional Committee Secretary Shubhankar Majumdar, State Committee member Bijoy Biswas, and Hapania Area Committee Secretary Ashish Chakraborty.

Speaking on the occasion, Gautam Ghosh wished for Manushree’s speedy recovery and appealed to well-meaning and compassionate members of society to extend financial support for the child’s treatment, according to their means.

The initiative reflects a broader pattern of community and organisational support extended to families facing high medical costs for critical treatment outside the state, with several such crowdfunding and solidarity efforts having emerged in Tripura in recent times.
