AGARTALA: Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb has taken up the cause of 22-month-old Manashree Chowdhury, who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), after speaking with her father regarding her condition and treatment needs.
Following the conversation, Deb reportedly initiated efforts to facilitate advanced medical treatment for the child, whose family has been seeking financial and medical support amid the high cost of care associated with the rare disease.
The MP’s intervention comes as several individuals and organisations, including the social organisation ‘Sat Bhabna’, have already extended financial assistance to the family in recent days.
