AGARTALA: A four-member delegation of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) submitted a deputation to the Director of Health Services on Thursday, seeking state government intervention for the treatment of a young girl, Manushree Chowdhury.
The delegation stated that despite efforts to raise funds for Manushree’s treatment, the amount collected would not be sufficient to cover the full cost of her medical care. They appealed to the state government, through the Director of Health Services, to take the necessary steps to ensure she receives adequate treatment.
The DYFI delegation urged authorities to consider the case on humanitarian grounds and extend financial or medical assistance from the government’s side to support the ongoing treatment.
