CITU’s Jirania Branch Submits Deputation to West Tripura DM

Agartala: The Jirania branch of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Tuesday submitted a deputation to the District Magistrate of West Tripura, raising a set of demands before the district administration.

According to reports, the deputation was submitted under the initiative of the local CITU unit, with members of the organisation reportedly present during the submission. However, specific details regarding the nature of the demands raised, the number of members involved, or any response from the District Magistrate’s office could not be immediately ascertained.

CITU, the trade union wing affiliated with the Communist Party of India (Marxist), has frequently used such deputations across Tripura to press for resolution of issues related to workers’ rights, wages, and local administrative grievances.
